HOOP is funded by EIT Health consortium under Innovation by Ideas initiative. It started on January 1st and ends on December 31st 2017.
Objetives
Design and development of a tool for Parkinson’s disease training in rehabilitation at the patient’s home, reducing the costs of therapies and being able to make available for most of people with Parkinson disease.
Detailed Description
Clinician and Carers Website
This website will present the results of the training to the clinician and carers involved in the patient rehabilitation. At the same time, they will be able to modify the training according the results previously studied.
Mobile-Friendly Design
HOOP will develop an Android application with a friendly user interface in order to keep the motivation of the patients who perform their training sessions at home
Wearable sensor device
Sensors connected to an smartphone reports information about the exercises and trainings performed by the patient at home
Rhythmic auditory stimulation
The exercises designed are based on the rhythmic auditory stimulations at different speeds and rhythm, increasing the motivation of the patients.
